I am thrilled to be here and serve as your counselor!! I started my education career in 2015 and still LOVE what I do!!
I am originally from Kansas City, KS. Go KU!!! I attended Texas Woman’s University for my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. After earning my Master’s degree in Education from Grand Canyon University, I worked as a special education teacher for 8 years. For the last 6 years, I have taught in Wylie ISD. During that time, I pursued my Master’s degree in School Counseling. I graduated from Texas Tech in 2021. My husband and I have 3 wonderful daughters. We love spending time as a family, going to the movies, and playing games together.
I am passionate about supporting students as they grow emotionally and socially. I will partner with parents and teachers to help meet each student’s needs. This may look like small groups with students, whole group/classroom lessons, or individual meetings with students.
I am also the 504 coordinator for our campus. I look forward to working with and helping the students and families here at Smith! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me.
In accordance with Texas Education Code §33.005, parents and guardians may preview the Wylie ISD Comprehensive School Counseling Program and any counselor-developed classroom lesson materials used on campus during regular school hours. The district counseling curriculum is available on the Wylie ISD Counseling website. Independent classroom lessons are provided at the discretion of the campus school counselor, and any materials not available digitally are available for parent preview upon request.
