Welcome to the Smith Elementary Library! My name is Sheila Hurst, and I have been the Smith Elementary Library Media Specialist since 2007. My goal is to give the students an inviting library where students can come and relax while snuggling into a good book. We offer several comfy reading areas as well as areas where students may sit and work. We strive to keep updated books that are interesting to our students but also appropriate for our age group. Every class has a scheduled library day, but we also offer open library times throughout the day for our awesome readers.

The library is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Classes are scheduled for a 25-minute period for library lessons and check-in/out.
Borrowing Policy
- Kinder - 1 book
- 1st - 4th - 2 books
Books are checked out for 10 days and can be renewed if there is no hold on the book.
